Indigenous Scholarship
Approximately 1% of tech roles in Canada are filled by Indigenous Peoples despite contributing 2.5% to Canada’s GDP and being 5% of the population (Digital Supercluster).
Our Indigenous Scholarships are here to remove barriers to entry to support Indigenous individuals and business owners in achieving their digital marketing goals and break into the industry.
Scholarship Guidelines:
Those who identify as First Nations (status or non status), Métis, or Inuit are eligible for this scholarship.
No academic transcript required.
Up to 50 students per year can receive this scholarship.
Covers a maximum of your entire course fees for the Digital Marketing Bootcamp. Due to a large volume of qualified applicants, not all applicants will receive scholarships to cover the entirety of their course fees.
Black and People of Colour Scholarship
Black employees are consistently paid less compared to White employees, whether in tech or non-tech occupations, and across countries.
In tech in Canada, Arab, Black, and South Asian employees make incrementally less than White employees ranging from -$8,000 to -$10,000 annually (Mind the Gap).
The digital marketing industry needs to become more inclusive, both through employment opportunities, pay equity and visibility in advertising. This scholarship is for those who are Black, or People of Colour to pursue digital marketing training.

Judy Lewis and Deborah Weinstein Gender Equity Scholarship
Women make up less than 30% of the workforce in tech in Canada, despite accounting for 47% of the entire workforce (ICTC). Moreover the gender pay gap exists: In U.S. agency roles, men reported that they earned an average of $50,000 more than women annually (NP Digital).
Digital marketing, and all industries for that matter, improve when there are more diverse perspectives. Gender equity is needed in the technical roles within digital marketing, including SEO, digital ads, and website analytics. This scholarship is for those who identify as a gender minority such as women and non-binary individuals.
This scholarship recognizes the transformative impact Judy Lewis and Deborah Weinstein have made to the industry.
They founded Strategic Objectives (SO) more than 40 years ago with a passion to do things differently. Certified by Women Business Enterprises Canada, SO defied the status quo and caused a seismic shift in how Public Relations is practiced and perceived.

Digital Marketing Career Accelerator Scholarship
Bachelor’s degrees can be a barrier to entry as students can expect to pay north of $27,000 in tuition over 4 years.
Since students already face such a great financial burden, we want to remove further barriers by offering this scholarship to high school and post-secondary students looking to receive industry-certifications needed to jump right into a digital marketing role upon graduation.
While traditional education provides students with the theory to get an understanding of marketing as a whole, Jelly Academy's Digital Marketing Bootcamp will set you up with the skills and credentials that employers are looking for when hiring for digital marketing roles.

Indigenous Skills and Employment Training (ISET) Program
In 2019, the Government of Canada introduced the Indigenous Skills and Employment Training (ISET) Program. Through funding to Indigenous service delivery organizations, the ISET program is designed to help Indigenous people improve their skills and find employment. The ISET program includes four specific labour markets: First Nations, Inuit, Métis, and urban/non-Indigenous people. Based on the needs and priorities of these four markets, Indigenous service delivery organizations will offer a variety of services for training.
These organizations provide a suite of skills development and job training, from essential skills such as literacy and numeracy to more advanced training for in-demand jobs.
